What I really like about this design is the imaginative aspect behind it, using inspiration from the colours of the fruit and adding well-known cartoon characters onto these fruits.

 

Shape Builder- An alternative to the pathfinder when you are wanting to use smaller shapes and paths to create larger, harder-to-draw imagery.

By using the shape builder tool I was able to recreate the image of the pear. I found using the shape builder tool quite hard as sometimes it didn’t go the way I would want and would become frustrated with this. After using different tools within illustrator I have found that I am most confident with the pen tool and would’ve been able to make this image look a lot better by using that tool.
