When designing anything visual, especially when it contains text, you need to make sure that you are organising your words and paragraphs so they are manageable to read.
Keep the text as incorporated into the design as possible and not stand out too much, whilst ensuring that the colours and shapes used throughout your work aren’t overwhelming.
A Bad Example- Too much text, no break, very similar
A Good Example- Breaks, size/hierarchy, colour aid
When creating pieces of work containing lots of information they become busy, this can be seen on magazine spreads or websites. When doing this you need to make sure you keep your reader’s attention and have it where you want it, when you do use large shapes, specific colours or imagery will help to draw in the reader’s attention. Once you know where they are looking you can then give them the best journey through the design possibilities with the previous techniques.
