To start with I chose the album I wanted to make a typography design with, however before going straight into designing a typography response to it I did some research into it and listed the emotions it made me feel. This helped me as it gave me an idea of what fonts and colours I could use I’m my typography poster.
Album Research

Born To Die Paradise Edition was released on the 9th November 2012.
The genres of this album are labelled as;
Alternative, pop baroque, pop indie pop sad, core trip, hip hop. In an interview, Lana explained she was more interested in telling her story rather than making money from the album.
When listening to this album I feel many different emotions because of the different tempos and lyrics each song differs from in the album. Some songs feel empowering whilst some are heart-wrenching when Lana talks about losing the person you love. The album overall covers all emotions a person can feel from sadness to excitement, your emotions change to the songs when listening to the album throughout.

This is my finished typography design, I used a mix of song titles and lyrics from the song which I spread across the page. Whilst making my design I listened to the dark paradise album which helped me decide which font, colour and style to use for my different titles, I was inspired to do this by the expressive fonts lesson from previous weeks. I did this by using different tools across photoshop such as the distort tool and rotate tool. I added a single leaf behind ‘DARK PARADISE’ and wanted to show that clearly so used a simple small image to do this as well as putting that in the middle of my poster.
