character design and landscapes

use photoshop to create character designs. we had the brief to make a fish-man character and a gentle giant character. A vanishing point is used as the point of disappearance in a linear perspective in landscape drawings. There is a foreground, midground, background, and a canvas in paintings.

stop trick / pixilation

stop trick: the stop trick is used for making objects appear and disappear as well as transform in a seemingly impossible manner. persistence of vision: our brain can only process a finite number of images within a second. Pixilation: it’s basically stop motion animation with actual people. I chose the stop trick which meant that I trimmed the videos so that it creates the illusion where the hat immediately snapped onto Lucian’s head.

VFX job roles

The job role that I have picked is the animator role the skills needed are being able to animate different art styles. Knowing how certain things move so the animation is realistic. I would have to know my way around animation software. Your work breathes life into a creature so they move realistically and display a personality, becoming part of the cast. The male gaze is how women are portrayed in the media from the eyes of a man and these women are represented as objects of male desire. The male gaze is often used as medium close-up shots of women from over a man’s shoulder. For example, the male gaze is used alot in perfume advertising usually the women are wearing very little clothes and are portrayed as objects of desire. Path animation

task: make an object follow a path in after effects First I drew a path with the pen tool then I made a shape that would go along the path I used no fill on the path I selected path and  copy pasted the path onto the position for the shape I made an animation of a rocket flying through space by using the parenting tool and the wiggle expression on the fire and the rocket following a path.
