There will be a short animation that will play at the start and then my vlog at Alton Towers will play afterwards.
Animation:
Plot: Ben and his friend watch some TV before coming across a vlog at Alton Towers Resort.
It will have videos of my old animations playing on the TV, which are The Pencil Case and Flame of Oblivion.
Animation script:
Scene 1
Ben and his friend walk into a room
Ben: I can’t wait to go to Alton Towers tomorrow!
Friend: yeah, let’s watch some TV tonight!
Both sit down on the sofa
Scene 2:
They turn on the tv
Flame of Oblivion comes on
Ben: Oh look! Flame of Oblivion, that’s a good show!
Friend: I’ve not seen season 3 yet
Ben: Omg, you’re right!
Scene 3:
Ben quickly changes the channel and the pencil case comes on
Friend: ooh, the pencil case. That’s a good one!
Ben: Yeah, it’s funny, and it’s a good animation overall. But wait, what’s this?
Scene 4:
They change the channel and an Alton towers vlog starts
Ben: Ooh! Is that Alton Towers?! we’re going there tomorrow!
Friend: yeah! Let’s see what rides they have there!
Scene 5:
The camera zooms into tv, and the vlog begins
Storyboard:

Animatic:
Originally in the animation, both were going to criticise Flame of Oblivion. But it was changed as it looked like I was putting a terrible view on my work. Now they will quickly change the channel as the friend hasn’t seen season 3 yet.
Design justifications:
I made a short animation to introduce my vlog and also show some animation skills. I thought this would be more interesting for my audience when they watch it on YouTube.
I had two boys walk into a room to watch TV when a bumper for a programme at Alton Towers appears. I think this will be an excellent introduction to my vlog.
In the room, there are posters of roller coaster promotional material and a picture of Millennium Force at Cedar Point on the walls. This shows that the people in the animation like roller coasters and this fits into the target audience for my product as the people that will view my vlog are also into roller coasters and theme parks so they will have an interest in watching the vlog. Everything else in the room is a reference to something or something from a certain game I’ve played or something that I created myself.
Both the characters in the animation are both simplistically designed and have circles for hands and legs and are a copy-paste of each other. They are both boys, as I can voice them easily. I have a low voice, so voicing a character that has a higher pitch voice would be difficult. Also, they are both males because a high percentage of coaster enthusiasts are male. One character is the person who appeared in the pencil case animation I made and his friend is a re-colour of him. They are drawn like they are because I can easily animate them with the puppet pin tool.
The colours that I used are bright and vibrant so that they are eye-catching and draw your attention.

Vlog:
I film my time at Alton Towers Resort and talk about some facts about the rides and the park.
I have filmed everything, and now I need to piece it together.
I have now finished the vlog and I will share it here:
Final Product:

Brilliant work Alex, add some more design justifications to this if you can, explaining why you chose certain elements and how this fits with your target audience (the posters you’ve chosen to use in the room for example)
