I made a storyboard to show how my animation will work and I can put my ideas into it before I make the final animation. I can easily see if I like or agree with my ideas before finalising them.
First frame is Bartosz approaching Zeph through the flames, second frame is Bartosz saying “Its over Zeph! the city is ours!”, third frame is a close up of zeph getting mad, fourth frame is Zeph saying “The stone isn’t yours! it doesn’t belong to you!”, fifth frame is Bartosz smirking, in the final frame, both charge at each other and clash their swords to begin a major battle.
Storyboards are typically how filmmakers want their scene to look before they animate it. There are often arrows to show what direction they wants things to go, either its camera movement or character movement.
Animatics are animated storyboards which flimmakers use to give a better understanding of what they want their scene to look like.
Storyboards are extremely important for project planning because it can save time, money and resources. Filmmakers can use storyboards to picturise their ideas so they can easily choose wherever to go for a scene or a different scene before they spend their budget on making it.
I have found it useful to make a story board for my animation as I can plan the different stages of the animation easily, I could treat each picture as a frame.
What happens in each scene:
- Bartosz approaches Zeph
- Bartosz says “Its over Zeph! the city is ours!”
- Zeph gets mad
- Zeph says “The stone isn’t yours! it doesn’t belong to you!”
- Bartosz smirks
- Both charge at each other and clash their swords to engage a major battle
