Target Audience Primary Research

In today’s lesson, we made a google forms survey for our fantasy briefs.

Primary research for a target audience is important because you need to know what your audience likes so you can use that information for your project

I asked the questions because I wanted to know if people liked my idea or not and I could see what I could improve on

Varied questions and formats are important because you need to have variety in the questions so you can get better results from other people doing your survey.

From looking at the responses I got, I can see people liked my idea, my two characters, they also said about how I can improve on my idea.

I could make some changes like add more to the plot, add some supporting characters, more background information on my main character Zeph.

All my responses:

The first question I asked does my concept work? 66.7% said that it did work and 33.3% said that it might, I had nobody think that it would not work. This is encouraging as the people that did the survey had very little information to go on.

I also asked if they would watch the fantasy series, this too had an encouraging outcome, nobody said no. The highest percentage was again 66.7% at a yes, and 33.3% at maybe.

Perhaps if the people had more information about the series the percentages could have been different either higher positive or lower negative.

I also asked what they thought was good or bad about the concept. Again, as there was not much information to give only a poster to look at, I didn’t expect much feedback at this stage.
