Look Development wood

In 20 minutes, we made something that’s made of wood, I made some building block toys:

Terms to describe wood:

Diffuse – Wide range of browns, reds & beiges.

Specular – Wood may be glossy, waxed or sanded.

Geometry – Wood grain needs to match.

Sheen – Fingerprints or dust marks.

Other – Sometimes accompanied by decorations such as metal accents.

Consider whether your wood is naturally waxy, if it has been sanded and dried, or if it has been polished and is glossy. Remember that the direction of the wood grain affects the appearance of the thing. To match the look of your wood, you’ll need to choose your bump map accordingly. You might utilise the shader’s shine element to give your wood item a layer of grimy fingerprints or dust buildup.
