The purpose of a CV is to have formal documentation of experience & achievement, to sell yourself to an employer, identify weaknesses and gaps in skills, and secure a job interview.
What makes a good CV?
An introduction that is both engaging and instructive – conveys who you are and the impression you wish to have.
The simple layout and nice font selection make it easy to read.
Check for SPaG (stands for Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar.)
Contact information, experience, talents, education, qualifications, and hobbies are all included.
Focus on the good aspects of your experience and skills.
Concise points that are relevant and tailored to the job.
A brief personal statement or summary should ideally be included. This demonstrates who you are and why you are the best candidate for the position.
Your GCSEs and greatest qualification should be listed. So far, this has been GSCEs and College; but, once you have graduated, you may substitute college results with University grades. Only favourable grades (nothing below a C / 4) should be listed.
You must provide relevant experience that supports your application in this section.
You should highlight important examples of what you did and why you were successful when describing your experience.
Finally, no one wants to hire a robot because they would if they could. So talk about your hobbies and interests to add some personality.
