Today, we reviewed 4 different showreels.
Showreel 1
This showreel showed multiple camera shots of real-life scenery. There were multiple camera angles used, like high angles and low angles and different camera movements. This showed that it was a showreel by having skills as a cameraman. I think this is a good showreel as it shows many uses of a camera to make unique shots. But it doesn’t have the person’s name or contact details anywhere in the video. It was over 2 minutes by 30 seconds. But it was still interesting to watch.
Showreel 2
This showreel showed a mixture of camera shots of real-life scenery and people. This showed it was a showreel by having the person’s name and contact details at the end of the video. It’s a great showreel as it had a lot of interesting footage. But this is only 1 minute while showreels should be 2 minutes.
Showreel 3
This showreel showed different shots of people. This didn’t have anyone’s name or contact details anywhere in the video and it had dialogue in the middle of it outside of the music. It was only a minute long while showreels should be 2 minutes. This isn’t a good showreel as I found it boring to watch.
Showreel 4
This showreel showed many edited shots of scenery and people. The showreel had the person’s name and was 2 minutes, but didn’t have contact details. It was the best showreel I’ve seen here as a lot of it was pleasing to look at. It had a lot of good work shown.
