3D modeling a bike

I will research a bike.

A Colongo C64 road bike:

Not the same model, but it’s a blueprint of a bike

Builder Profile

They make road bikes of one of these four materials: steel, aluminium, titanium, and carbon fibre. These are solid and sturdy materials.

A bike moves by using gears linked by a chain to make it easier to pedal. The force used by pedalling makes the gears spin the back wheel. As it rotates, the tire uses friction to grip the area and move the bike.

If I animated a bike, I would make the wheels, pedals, chain, and maybe the handles if it’s going in another direction move.

If I place the bike at the front of a shot, it would be a hero asset, as it is the primary focus. It would be a background asset in the background, as it’s not the primary focus.

The primitives I would use would be a cylinder for the wheels and duplicate them. For the frame, I would use a cylinder and extrude up. I would use a cylinder for the gears and extrude it on the outside. I would use a tool that extends a shape along a path for the handlebars and the seat. I could use symmetry on the wheels to make them symmetrical. I have never modelled a bike before.

I made a blocked out model of a bike using the blueprint:
