in this lesson, we learned about pitching. this is useful for knowing how to present ideas in the future to potentially secure the production of our projects and show ideas.
pitches
pitching is important to present ideas to people thst you would potentially work with creatively. its also used to establish working relationships with those people, so that they might help you with creative projects.
types of pitches
long form – a presentation that lasts from 20 minutes to an hour and is used to present projects and ideas in their full detail and depth.
short form or sales pitch – a shorter pitch that is used to secure a business deal.
elevator pitch – a very short pitch thats supposed to just make people interested in your project/idea.

in this task, we created a pitch for our fantasy concept to identify the ‘selling point’ and practise making pitches.

conclusion
this task helped me to generate more ideas about my fantasy concept. thinking about what makes the show idea stand out ultimately helped me to make changes that made me happier with the direction im taking the project.
