storyboards and synopsis intro.
my fantasy assignment is to produce a 15 second title sequence for a fantasy tv show.
hand in is 6pm on the 11th feb.
to show the pre production of my fantasy assignment, i need to create 3 main blog posts: generating ideas, target audience and concept design. as part of these blog posts, i will make a storyboard for my video, as well as a synopsis of the concept and my ideas for my video.
storyboards.
storyboarding is used to record the key scenes of a production. It includes important gestures, facial expressions and camera shot changes.
Each frame is noted with the scene and shot numbers, action notes (movements and changes like a character punching) and key dialogue and sound related action.
storyboard task.
In this task, we were split into groups to make a collective storyboard for a scene from a movie. the scene was the “hello there” scene from star wars episode 3: revenge of the sith.
here is our group’s storyboard.
synopsis.
a synopsis is a summary of a story that is presented as a paragraph of text which outlines the main events and characters of the story. it tells all the necessary information, but does not go into full detail. because it is early in the development of my project, i do not have a final concept that i have decided on, and so i will write three basic synopses that i will chose one of them to flesh out into my final idea for my video. i will have written the final synopsis by next week (beginning the 18th of October).
