Risk Assessment.

A risk assessment is a document dedicated to analysing potential risks that could occur during working, a project or event.

They are used to implement safety precautions and measures in order to keep people safe.

Examples of risks – Things that stop you from doing your work:

  • Loss of work
  • Death
  • Being involved in a police investigation
  • Severe Illness
  • You have an injury
  • Called for Jury Duty
  • Extreme Weather
  • Bereavement
  • Special Occasion (Wedding/Funeral/Driving test)
  • Technological Failure (broken computers etc.)

Potential risks for a project can be identified by answering the questions below.

Dependency

Is your work dependant on other people, or skills you need to learn before you can complete the work?

Assumptions

Are you making assumptions in planning your work? e.g you’re assuming that you have enough time to complete the project.

What will happen if it does not pan out?

Technology

Do you have access to the technology you need? Can you source alternatives or get help from other people to support this?

Here is a risk assessment I made for the session. It relates to my culture brief.
