what is compositing?
compositing is bringing video elements, layers and images together to create a final video. for example: explosions, smoke, cgi, keying with greenscreen etc. it is also used to correct mistakes in film
over the academic year, there are several techniques we will be learning:
- utilising effects and footage adjustment tool sets (software dependent)
- rotoscope (masking and object removal)
- greenscreen
- tracking (2D & 3D)
- blending models
importing
either press ctrl + I to import a file, right click in the project box, and select import or just drag it in from the file explorer
To import an image sequence, import the first image first, and then the rest of the sequence as a folder
